MONROE COUNTY’S WIC RECEIVES GOLD LEVEL  AWARD IN BREASTFEEDING

Monroe County, Fla.— The USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service, Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children holds the WIC Breastfeeding Awards of Excellence every year. This year, the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County’s WIC program received the Gold Award of Excellence.  Monroe County’s WIC is one of only 102 county WIC agencies in the US that received this award.  

Congratulations to the Monroe County WIC staff for their efforts in promoting and supporting breastfeeding:
