MONROE COUNTY, FL – Monroe County will host representatives from the US Census Bureau on Jan. 30 and 31 to provide the community with information about the upcoming 2020 Census. 

Thursday, Jan 30 at Key West Harvey Government Center from 5:30-7 p.m.

Friday, Jan 31 at Marathon Gov Center from 10-11:30 a.m. and Murray Nelson Gov Center in Key Largo from 3-4:30 p.m.

After providing information about the census process, privacy of your data, and more, the Bureau representative will hold an open question and answer session with the public. The County encourages anyone who would like to assist in the Census effort or those with questions or concerns to attend and find out more. The 2020 Census will count every person living in Monroe County, the United States, and U.S. territories. The census is conducted every 10 years by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency. The results determine congressional representation and federal funding for states and communities, including Monroe County.

By April 1, 2020, Monroe County households will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census and residents will have three options to respond – online, phone or by mail.
