Monroe County Fire Rescue Responds to RV Fire on Summerland Key
SUMMERLAND KEY, FL – Monroe County Fire Rescue responded at 2:03 a.m. Monday to an RV fire at 27342 Antigua Lane, mile marker 27 of U.S. 1 on Summerland Key. The RV was parked on a vacant lot with one female living inside. She escaped without injury prior to the arrival of Fire Rescue.
Firefighters from the Cudjoe, Big Pine and Sugarloaf stations responded to find one RV fully engulfed in flames and a second RV partially involved. A box trailer located on the property suffered heat and smoke damage.
The fire did not appear to be suspicious. The Monroe County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
