MONROE COUNTY FIRE RESCUE CONGRATULATES LT. CASSY CANE FOR 20 YEARS OF SERVICE
MONROE COUNTY, FL – Monroe County Fire Rescue’s Chief James Callahan, left, thanks Lt. Cassy Cane for her 20 years of dedicated service to the organization and to the community.
Lt. Cane developed her love for the fire service while being a Fire Explorer at Marathon High School. After graduation, she became a volunteer firefighter for the City of Marathon. She became a certified firefighter through the Monroe County Fire Academy and began her career with Monroe County Fire Rescue in 1999.
In 2018 she transferred to the Fire Prevention Division where she is currently working as a Deputy Fire Marshal in the Upper Keys. A quote she lives by is, “Do what’s right, even when no one is looking.”
