Monroe County Employee of the Year 2021 Presented to Julie Cuneo, Purchasing Department
MONROE COUNTY, FL – Congratulations to Monroe County Employee of the Year Julie Cuneo. Cuneo oversees the purchasing department and took over as the lead for Hurricane Irma recovery. “She is outstanding in everything she does, is always a team player, and is always willing to pitch in to help anyone,” said Director of Management and Budget Tina Boan.
In addition, since the implementation of the new program, Workday, Cuneo has been a reliable resource for the financial processes of the system. Megan Fiore-Abreu, of Employee Services, who recommended Cuneo as Employee of the Third Quarter, said, “Julie takes time to sit to demonstrate what we needed to learn and know to perform our everyday duties. Workday has been a learning curve for all employees, and with Julie’s help, it has made the transition a lot easier.”
Employee Services facilitates the Employee of the Quarter nominations. Monroe County’s Senior Management Team selects an Employee of the Quarter from a pool of employees nominated by their peers or supervisors and an Employee of the Year from the four winners. These employees are chosen for going above and beyond their own work responsibilities while showing a continual demonstration of the values of Monroe County.
