MONROE COUNTY CONTINUES VISITOR BAN, LODGING STILL CLOSED TO VISITORS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

MONROE COUNTY – Monroe County will continue the banning tourists and leisure travelers from visiting the Florida Keys. This ban started on March 20 and was implemented in the interest of public safety due to the number of increasing COVID-19 cases in the counties north of Monroe County.

The ban applies to all leisure visitors and all non-essential personnel who are not working in the Florida Keys. Lodging establishments are prohibited from accepting reservations until the state of emergency is or the ban is lifted.  The ban applies to vacation rentals, which State of Florida has also temporarily banned.  Lodging establishments may rent to workers engaged in essential activities.
