Military Personnel to be Honored Guests at Friday Evening’s Custom House ‘The Navy in Key West’ Exhibit Opening Celebration
Key West Art & Historical Society invites all military personnel to be special guests of honor this Friday evening, January 13, 5:00-7:30pm at a special opening celebration of the new Custom House Museum exhibit, ‘The Navy in Key West.’ Events kick off on the Custom House steps at 5pm with the Navy Color Guard singing the National Anthem, followed by a Fabulous Spectrelles performance. Beginning at 5pm, KWAHS members and all military personnel are welcome to enter the Museum via the VIP members entrance. The exhibit opens to the general public at 5:30pm. The Society will celebrate the exhibit and the centenary of Naval Air Station Key West with ongoing events and programs throughout the year. ‘The Navy in Key West’ runs through December 2017 and is sponsored by the Helmerich Trust.
