Mayor Explores Issues with USC Students

Mayor Teri Johnston met with college students from the University of South Carolina Aiken leadership exchange class. Ahmed Samaha, Vice Chancellor of student Engagement and a Key West native, arranged the trip.

The students visit different parts of the country to examine leadership issues in those communities. While in Key West they are taking a look at eco-tourism and the struggles communities face in protecting their environment while capitalizing on it to enhance the local economy.

The students met with Mayor Johnston to ask questions about her leadership experiences as Mayor and as an engaged community leader.
