May Sands Montessori School Application Season Open for School Year 2024

KEY WEST, FL – May Sands Montessori School, Key West’s ONLY tuition-free Montessori school, is now conducting its Open Application Season for the 2023 School Year Admissions Lottery. Located in the heart of Key West, May Sands Montessori School serves students in grades VPK-8th. The Application period is open for Monroe County residents until April 14, 2023.

Are you looking for an alternative educational experience for your children? Montessori education is a hands-on, child-centered, and individualized approach to learning. In addition to exceeding in standard courses, today’s students at May Sands are taking classes in music, theater, art, gardening, and even a new introduction to Scuba Diving course for the middle school grade levels. 

“I was encouraged to follow my curiosities…and remember choosing my daily lessons and working through them at my own pace”, explains former student Bela Barr. Now an excelling Senior at Key West High School, Bela is heading to the University of Miami’s PRISM honors program and is “…grateful that May Sands Montessori taught me to take the initiative in my education!”
