Match Campaign Offers Amazing Opportunity To Change the Future of the Florida Keys

Whether you live, work, or play here, you can change the future of the Florida Keys. Every dollar donated between now and December 31st to the Florida Keys Future Fund at the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys will be matched up to $50,000 to help meet our community’s most pressing needs. The money will be channeled directly to our local nonprofits that best serve the community through a competitive grants process beginning in 2017.

“If you’ve ever wondered what you can do to make a difference, now is the opportunity,” says Roger Heinen, Board Chairman of the Community Foundation. “All our partners who support the Fund will double the impact of their gifts, help as many people as possible, and ensure the potential, power, and possibility of a better future for our wonderful Keys.”

The Florida Keys Future Fund was established this year as part of the Community Foundation’s 20th Anniversary. The match is thanks to a legacy gift from a generous friend of the Community Foundation.

Grants will support the best projects each year that impact our community in the areas of education, environment, healthcare, arts, recreation, and much more, throughout the entire Florida Keys. Application information and deadlines will be announced later this Fall.

The Community Foundation and its partners have returned more than $21 million to our community since 1996 through programs such as the “Vision 20/20” Grant Program, Performing and Visual Arts Grant Program, and generous grants from Donor Funds and Endowments.
