Man cited for undersized lobster/fish

A 24-year-old Miami, Florida man was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation Saturday for possessing undersized lobsters and an undersized yellowtail snapper.

The Sheriff’s Office was conducting resource checks near the Channel Five Bridge at approximately 9 p.m. when they found Redey Alejandro Galindo Curbelo to be in possession of two undersized lobster tails and one undersized yellowtail snapper.

Woman arrested for child neglect  

A 34-year-old Stock Island, Florida woman was arrested Sunday after three juveniles consumed THC-laced candies. There were no life-threatening injuries reported.

Myrlande St. Ferry was charged with child neglect.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island at approximately 4:46 p.m. regarding three children — ages 7, 8, and 9 — who consumed THC-laced gummy candies.

St. Ferry admitted to possessing the drug-laced candy, which the juveniles accessed.
