Man cited for harvesting queen conch

A 40-year-old Coconut Creek, Florida man was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation Saturday for harvesting queen conch near Mile Marker 71.

Agnaldo Guarezi-Ferriera was stopped in a 21-foot boat at approximately 5:34 p.m. on the Gulfside and two live queen conch were found in the live well during a resource check.

Guarezi-Ferriera admitted to taking the conch.

He was cited and the two conch were returned to the water alive.
