Man arrested for threats
A 39-year-old Marathon, Florida man was arrested Monday for threatening military aircraft.
Michael Angelo Robulock was charged with threatening to discharge a destructive device.
Robulock told the Sheriff’s Office the military was flying helicopters over his residence, adding that he would launch rockets at them if they flew below 1,000 feet. He stated, “If these (expletive deleted) keep flying over my house, they’re going to get a rocket.”
He was taken into custody without incident.
The Sheriff’s Office notified the U.S. Navy of Robulock’s statements and subsequent arrest.
Man arrested for burglary
A 61-year-old Marathon, Florida man was arrested Monday for breaking into a business and stealing alcohol.
Benigno Cruz Torres was charged with burglary, property damage, and possession of marijuana.
The Overseas Pub & Grill in Marathon reported their business was burglarized Monday with approximately $217 in alcohol stolen and approximately $200 done in property damage. Detectives quickly identified Cruz Torres as the suspect.
Cruz Torres admitted to burglarizing the business and was taken into custody within hours of the incident. He possessed approximately 11 grams of marijuana at the time of his arrest.
