Man arrested for threatening woman with knife  

A 44-year-old Marathon man was arrested Wednesday for harassing a woman and threatening her with a knife.

Alexander Pereira Jimenez was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, burglary and possession of cocaine.

The victim stated she broke up with Jimenez after he began accusing her of cheating on him and threatening her.

Jimenez began showing up at the victim’s work.

Jimenez then showed up at the victim’s home. He refused to leave when asked, picked up a 12-inch kitchen knife and put the knife to the victim’s throat.

The victim showed Deputies Biandrea Swire and Juan Carlos Marino threatening text messages as well. Security footage at her work confirmed Jimenez approached her there.

Jimenez was taken to jail.
