Man arrested for sexual battery  

Justin Rand Birht, 33, of Key Largo, was arrested Thursday for sexual battery regarding an Upper Keys incident that occurred in April 2022.

The then 53-year-old female victim told the Sheriff’s Office she was sexually battered by a man unknown to her in a wooded area in Key Largo near Mile Marker 105.5.

DNA collected during the investigation identified Birht as the suspect.

A warrant was obtained for his arrest and he was booked into jail on Thursday.
