Man arrested for battery  

A 41-year-old Marathon man was arrested Wednesday for hitting and kicking Deputies.

Joshua William Stanley was charged with battery, resisting arrest, and making threats.

Stanley was found sleeping in a bush in Marathon near 53rd Street at approximately 3:38 a.m. He had a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Stanley was taken to Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon after he injured his head by banging it against a patrol car partition. He hit, kicked, and head-butted Deputies as they attempted to take him from the car to the hospital and back. He also threatened to kill Deputies.
