Man arrested for aggravated battery

A 42-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for beating another man who was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami.

Shane Wilson was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Early Tuesday morning, 50-year-old William Shook of Big Pine Key was found unresponsive and critically injured in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy on Big Pine Key.

Major Crimes Unit Detectives soon learned Wilson showed a pair of bloody pliers to multiple witnesses after the incident and told them he beat Shook.

Detectives found Wilson Tuesday afternoon not far from the incident location and arrested him.

Shook remained in stable, but critical condition at the Miami hospital as of Tuesday evening.
