Man airlifted following reported shark bite

A 20-year-old Miami-Dade County man was airlifted to Jackson South Medical Center in Miami at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday after he was reportedly bitten in the leg by a shark while spearfishing with two others off Marathon. 

A Trauma Star helicopter landed on the Seven Mile Bridge after the man was brought ashore in a private boat to the Sunset Grille & Raw Bar.  

His condition was not immediately available.
