Lunches Continue for People in Need

On Wednesday, May 13, Islamorada Mayor Mike Forster, owner of Mangrove Mike’s will be providing free hot meals in Key West from noon until 2 at the Douglass Gym on Olivia Street.

Since March 20th, Mangrove Mike’s Endeavors has provided nearly 10,000 hot meals throughout Monroe County to help support people in need.

People can drive through or walk up, so long as they maintain proper physical distances. All meals will be bagged and ready to go

In addition, the Seaside Café at the Mansion, sponsored by Michelle’s Foundation, will be providing free lunches for those in need every Friday in May. The meals are being provided from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Duval Pocket Park at 1400 Duval St. This is a walk-up giveaway, so please observe all CDC guidelines for social distancing.
