Lt Lariz Honored for 20 Years of Service
During Tuesday’s City Commission meeting, City Manager Patti McLauchlin presented Key West Police Lt. Bradley Lariz a gold watch in honor of his 20 years of service to the City.
“I knew Bradley when he was a baby,” said McLauchlin. “I also had the opportunity to work with his father. He comes from a long line of police officers in the family. His father retired as a captain, his Uncle David retired as Deputy Chief, and his Uncle Harry retired as a lieutenant all with the Key West Police Department. We are very fortunate to have Bradley with us.”
Lt. Lariz started with the Department in 2003. During his career he has worked road patrol, bicycle patrol, and as a narcotics detective. He served as a field training officer, and he was on the Special Response Team for three years.
In 2012, he was promoted to sergeant and assigned to patrol for two years until he was transferred to the Narcotics Special Investigations Unit.
After serving four years in narcotics, then-sergeant Lariz worked in the Criminal Investigations Unit.
In 2021, he was promoted to Lieutenant and is currently in charge of the Criminal Investigations Division with the Key West Police Department.
