LONG KEY STATE PARK TO HOST FIRST DAY HIKE

Visitors invited to a guided hike on the Golden Orb Nature Trail for the first day of 2022

Long Key, Fla.– The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Long Key State Park will host a First Day Hike on Saturday, January 1, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Join Long Key State Park and ring in the New Year with our annual First Day Hike! Bring your family and friends and start your new year off on the right foot, active and outdoors! This onemile hike will be exercise focused. However, there will be educational opportunities along the trail too. Whether you are a first-time visitor to this park, or a regular, we hope that this First Day Hike inspires you to make Long Key State Park an important part of your exercise routine and your life.

Please dress for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and any other items that will make your hike more enjoyable.
