Lobster Lab Leans in for Discovery Saturday, just in time for mini-season

Lobster experts from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission headline the next installment of Discovery Saturday at Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center. The presentation takes place on July 13, 2024 beginning at 10:30 a.m., on the eve of the first-ever Florida Resident lobster mini-season.

Discovery Saturday is a free, monthly activity designed for children in grades 1-5.  The sessions last between 60-90 minutes, depending on the presenter, with new subjects slated for each month.

Discovery Saturday sessions take place inside the classroom at Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center, located at 33 East Quay Drive along the Truman Waterfront.  Capacity is limited, and parents are encouraged to pre-register by email at [email protected]. The Eco-Discovery Center is open Wednesday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-4p.m. and admission is free.
