Libby’s show “Still on The Road” features stories & songs from her years on stage, performing at top venues such as the Waldorf Astoria New York, Cafe Laurent Paris, The Vic in LA, and Green Mill Chicago.
Joining Libby is guitarist Woody Allen, known for his work with the popular band The Survivors. “Woody gave me my first singing job in Key West with the Bone Key Reggae All Stars. It’s been quite a road since then!” Currently based in New Hampshire, Woody has many Key West fans who know him primarily as a reggae guitarist. What some may not know is his background as a jazz musician. The musical chemistry between the two old friends promises a special evening exploring songs that have meaning from various phases of Libby’s career.
York has received raves from international jazz press for her award winning CD’s featuring Great American Songbook classics and little known gems. Her “Sunday in New York” CD garnered 4 stars from the jazz bible, Downbeat.
