Letter Carrier Food Drive Day
Mayor Craig Cates proclaimed Saturday, May 12th as Letter Carrier Food Drive Day. Key West letter carriers will be collecting food from the community, and the City urges everyone to participate!
The National Association of Letter Carriers Branch #818 strives to make a major impact on the supply of food in food pantries across our community, helping to feed those in need. Anyone wanting to help is encouraged to leave non-perishable food items by your mailbox for the local letter carrier to collect for the drive.
All donations will benefit the food banks at Metropolitan Community Church, Glad Tidings Church, Catholic Charities and St. Mary’s Church.
This is the 26th year for the national event, which last year collected 85 million pounds of donations across the nation.
