Lemonade Stand Gallery’s Small Works Show: Small Works Live Large
Curated by Lemonade Stand Gallery, the Small Works Show opens April 4 during the First Thursday event at The Studios of Key West
[Key West, Fl.] The rules are simple: the work must be original, and cannot exceed 10 inches in any direction. Featuring art that is imaginative, diminutive, and completely unique, the Small Works Show, curated by Lemonade Stand Gallery, opens Thursday, Apr. 4, from 6-8pm at The Studios of Key West. Over one hundred and seventy works from artists across the United States and around the world will be on view April 4-25 in the Sanger Gallery.
Originating in 2005, the Small Works Show is an artistic tradition in Key West, and has grown into one of the most anticipated shows each season. This year, entries poured in from 6 countries – as far as Turkey – and 39 states. The top entries will be shown, including sculptures, paintings, drawings, photographs, and even small hand-made books. With works spanning a wide range of price points, the show is a perfect opportunity for first-time art buyers as well as more seasoned collectors.
The Studios of Key West’s galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am – 4pm. More information can be found at www.tskw.org. For the first time, Lemonade Stand Gallery will open the show for online viewing and purchases at www.lemonadestandgallery.com on April 5.
