KWFD Truck Headed to the Abacos

Mayor Teri Johnston and the City Commission handed over the keys for the two fire trucks the City has donated to Key West Cares’ recovery efforts in the Abacos. Key West Cares’ Jim Gilleran accepted the keys, and the two truck will be driven to the mainland where they will be loaded aboard a barge headed for the Bahamas.

The commission voted unanimously to donate the two retired truck to aid in the recovery after Hurricane Dorian devastated many communities in the northern Bahamas.
