KOTS Adjusts Hours and Space for COVIC-19

In the interest of public safety, economic stability and long-term recovery, all individuals should reduce social contact to the greatest degree possible by limiting their travel for essential services.

In order to facilitate this goal, the City of Key West – with the help of Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay and Monroe County – has temporarily expanded the Keys Overnight Temporary Shelter.

Beginning this evening, KOTS will go to 24-hour operation. Tents have been installed, spreading out the facility’s footprint, and allowing for social distancing for this particularly vulnerable population.

SOS has arranged to provide three meals a day for those staying at KOTS.
