Kim Gordon brings an exciting new solo concert to the Key West Theater

Key West favorite Kim Gordon returns to the Key West Theater on March 30 with Together Again. This sparkling cabaret is a high-energy musical mix that weaves beloved Broadway, great jazz and favorite standards with irreverent, fun cabaret numbers. With her pure bell-like voice and extraordinary three-octave range, Kim Gordon is an accomplished artist with a rich sound and remarkable versatility. Proceeds from this all-new solo concert and the champagne and gourmet dessert After Party benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs, now celebrating more than 27 years helping families here in the Florida Keys.

Kim Gordon: Together Again is romantic, funny, swinging and features a stellar band that really cooks. Grammy-nominated recording artist, Tim Mayer joins the band on sax, with Joe Dallas on bass, James King on piano and Daniel Clark on drums. Together, they masterfully move from Bernstein, Gershwin, Hammerstein, Berlin and Styne to Fats Waller and Leonard Cohen, with stops along the way for Jerry Herman, Michel Legrand, Boch and Harnick, cabaret by David Friedman, a spot-on Gilbert and Sullivan parody and a special tribute to Stephen Sondheim.

“We’re going to make some great music and help fund vitally important after-school and summer programs for children of working families right here in our own community through the Boys & Girls Clubs,” says Gordon. She is well known in the Keys for lending her voice to raise funds for locals in need. Kim Gordon: Together Again is a production of Music with Heart, Inc. the nonprofit organization she founded. Kim Gordon is recognized for having raised and donated more than half-a-million dollars to date, often through concert performances. This has earned her a Lifetime Achievement Award and Unsung Hero award among others. The proceeds from the concert will help provide a safe and positive environment for all our local children to learn and grow.
