Keys Kids Junior and Bahama Village Music Program Present: Mary Poppins
Keys Kids Jr. presents Mary Poppins Jr. at Key West High School auditorium in February when over thirty HOB and home-schooled students present the popular play. The students have been working very hard since Thanksgiving under the direction of HOB teacher Stephanie Manaher and musical directors Nancy 3. Hoffman and HOB Band teacher, Crystal Hendricks. The characters come to life under the always professional and creative choreography of Penny Leto, assisted by Marissa Ajamian & Carolyn Cooper. The delightful play gives the audience such songs as “Spoonful of Sugar,” Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” and of course the always popular “Supercalifragilistic.”
The performances include a double cast of several characters due to the tremendous response to the auditions. Mary Poppins will be played by Maddox Lowe and Angelina Diaz with Bronson Campo as Bert, Alex Mansaur and Caitlynn Hetu as Jane, Brenner Logan and Sebastian Jeanpierre as Michael.
Performances will be Thursday, February 14, Friday, February 15, and Saturday, February 16 at 7:30 with a Saturday matinee at 2:00. Tickets are available at bvmpkw.org and can also be purchased at the door one hour before each show. This program is sponsored by the Bahama Village Music Program and sponsored in part by the Florida Keys Council of the Arts and the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys.
