KEY WEST GARDEN CLUB ANNUAL PLANT SALE

The Key West Garden Club will hold its annual Fall Plant Sale at the West Martello Tower in Key West on Saturday, November 18th and Sunday, November 19th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free. The West Martello Tower is located at 1100 Atlantic Boulevard next to Higgs beach. We experienced a lot of damage from Irma, and we’ve cleaned up considerably in order to have this sale. It may look a little different but we remain the same at heart.

Plants raised from seeds or cuttings in the Garden Club propagation nursery will be sold at near-wholesale prices; other plants will be available from the garden club as well and include drought-resistant and pest-resistant natives suitable for sun or shade. This year, we are carrying a large number of palms for sale. In addition to the Garden Club, plant vendors will be selling orchids, bromeliads, crotons, tillandsias, air plants, and palm trees. If you lost plants due to the hurricane, now is your time to get new plants all in one location. Our knowledgeable and experienced plant vendors have been coming here for years and they carry an abundance of healthy plants for sale.

Artists, both local and visiting, will sell items that can be used for holiday gift giving. We will have sea glass, orchid, bead, and other beautiful jewelry, handbags, painted recycled furniture, bamboo items, dinnerware, baskets, picture frames, home made stuffed animals, and more! Make their day and yours by checking out their booths and asking them questions about their products. They are very proud of what they make and we are proud to have them at the sale.

There will be food for sale from our members who are doing both baked goods to take home, and lunch items to eat while at the plant sale. Make sure you stop by and get something before it sells out. We will also have coffee, tea, and water for sale. There are places to sit and enjoy your lunch while you relax and enjoy your day.

Our merchandise from the garden club will be available when you walk inside the gate. Take a moment to look at our shirts, aprons, gloves, visors, and Robin Robinson’s books titled “Plants of Paradise”, and “Roots, Rocks and Rain”. Also, you can sign up for a membership while visiting the tent.

NEW this year: 30 minute educational seminars on palms, fruit trees, orchids, and post-hurricane planting

Come and join us either or both days. We look forward to a good weekend!
