Key West Employee of the 4th Quarter

Commissioners Monica Haskell and Lissette Carey, Mayor Danise “Deedee” Henriquez, Giovania Montiel, Vice Mayor Clayton Lopez, and Commissioners Sam Kaufman and Donie Lee. Commissioner Mary Lou Hoover was in attendance via Zoom.

During this week’s City Commission meeting, Human Resources Director Bridget Flores announced the Employee of the Fourth Quarter for 2024.

Giovania Montiel, of Community Services, was awarded the honor.

“The City of Key West has over 540 employees each taking on a special role to make our City wonderful,” said Flores. “While many times we focus on the employees providing a face-to-face services to our citizens, today we are celebrating an employee that works to keep City Hall clean and helps all the employees in City Hall with her kind nature and large heart.”

For the past eight years, Montiel has worked in City Hall creating a clean safe environment.

“Congratulations, Giovania,” Flores said. “You received multiple nominations from multiple departments reminding everyone how much you make a positive impact on our day!”
