Key West Art & Historical Society Chidlren’s Workshop

Children enjoyed “Archaeology: The Heavenly Horses,” a Key West Art & Historical Society workshop held earlier this week at Fort East Martello Museum and led by instructors Rick “Deadeye” Wheelus, Daisy Connolly, Crystal Smith, and Kevin Lisinski.  Students traveled along the Silk Road, across the Steppes, and over the Himalayas guided by historic personas like Julius Caesar, Attila the Hun, and the Emperors of China as they discovered the connections between the East and the West, saved the world, and solved the riddle of the Heavenly Horses. For more information on future Society workshops, contact Education Specialist Kassandra Collett at 305-295-6616 ext. 114 or email at [email protected].  Sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Division of Cultural Affairs and Society benefactor Lee Garrison.  Your museums.  Your community.  It takes an island.
