Key West Art & Historical Society Call for Collections of Curios, Baubles and Tchotchkes

August 3, 2017 – (Key West, FL).  Do you collect interesting and unusual objects? Are your shelves filled with knickknacks, curios, ornaments, trinkets, baubles, tchotchkes, artwork, and other objects of interest? Your unique treasures could be part of the upcoming “Key West Collects” exhibit, presented by Key West Art & Historical Society at the Custom House Museum in December.

Keys residents who have their own unusual or impressive collections to loan should contact KWAHS Curator Cori Convertito, Ph.D. at 305.295.6616 x112. The last “Key West Collects” exhibit, held in December 2013, included objects such as Cuban artwork, vintage cocktail shakers, aquarium ornaments, McCoy pottery, Inuit soapstone sculptures, tobacco premiums, and die-cast souvenirs of famous landmarks from around the world.

“Key West Collects” will open with a special reception on December 8, 2017, from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Bumpus Gallery at the Custom House Museum, 281 Front Street.  It will run through March 4, 2018.
