July Tree Commission Meeting Canceled

Due to the continued rising numbers of Covid-19 in Key West, the July 14th Tree Commission meeting has been canceled.

Karen DeMaria, urban forestry manager for the City of Key West, would like to remind property owners that permits are still required for the removal, heavy trimming, and transplanting of regulated trees and palms in the City of Key West.

“There has been a rumor around town saying that the Tree Commission no longer exists,” said DeMaria. “It does still exist as does the tree ordinance. Permits are still required and are being processed.”
