Jose Marti Birthday Celebration

Jose Marti Birthday Celebration: The Key West Poetry Guild and the San Carlos Institute are joined by the Key West Comparsa Dancers in inviting the community to celebrate the birthday of Cuban National Hero, Orator, Poet, and Journalist, Jose Marti’ on January 28, 2018, 6p-7:30pm at the San Carlos Institute 516 Duval St., Key West. Cake and ice cream are planned. Key West Poetry Guild Open Mic, Sunday, February 4th at 7pm at 801 Georgia Street. Many thanks to the Unitarians for hosting us while the library receives some renovations. All are welcome to attend, poets are asked only to read their own work. For more information please view our Facebook page.

Decimos – We Say, the new literary magazine for the Florida Keys has released its second issue and continues to seek submissions from local authors. We are also requesting submissions from local visual artists for the cover. Available in local bookstores and at Decimos.org.
