Joint Effort Leads to Arrest
On February 10th the Key West Police Department Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 1213 14th Street Lot 199. The search warrant was obtained after the police department initiated an investigation with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations (H.S.I.), Drug Enforcement Administration (D.E.A.) and Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
During a search of the property, detectives and special agents found, powder cocaine, marijuana, several items of paraphernalia that was indicative of sales and $14,060 in cash. The currency is suspected proceeds from the sale of narcotics and was seized.
Dorothy A. Ward-Raymond, 60, was arrested and booked into the Monroe County Detention Center and charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana as well as felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
