Joe Garcia Releases New TV Ad
In new TV ad, Joe Garcia takes Trump and Curbelo to task over Obamacare
Miami, FL- Today former Congressman Joe Garcia released a new TV ad in his race for Florida’s 26th Congressional District. In the ad, Garcia called out Carlos Curbelo and Donald Trump for opposing Obamacare. While Trump says he wants to repeal Obamacare, Curbelo has taken multiple votes to repeal Obamacare and replace it with nothing.
“Donald Trump takes extreme positions that hurt South Florida families, but Republican Leader Carlos Curbelo goes to Congress and actually votes for them,” said Javier Hernandez, spokesperson for the Garcia campaign. “Instead of standing up to his party, Republican Congressman Curbelo voted to repeal Obamacare and replace it with nothing. Curbelo’s votes would deny coverage to those with pre-existing conditions and allow insurance companies to charge women more than men—Joe Garcia voted to protect and improve Obamacare so that it works for everyone.”
Trump has consistently attacked President Obama’s signature healthcare law. Meanwhile, Curbelo has done the same, and has voted 7 times to roll back or repeal Obamacare. When President Obama vetoed Curbelo’s attempt to repeal the law, Curbelo voted to override it. Trump and Curbelo agree on Social Security, calling the program a Ponzi scheme. Curbelo has gone even further than Trump in calling Medicare a Ponzi Scheme as well.

In Congress, I worked hard for our community, and we got results.
But Carlos Curbelo and Donald Trump want to go backwards.
They’re working to repeal Obamacare, stripping healthcare from thousands of Florida families.
That’s wrong. Families are more important than politics.
That’s why worked with the President to protect Obamacare, and in Congress, I’ll work to improve it.
I’m Joe Garcia and I approve this message, because leadership is about protecting Florida families and building on the progress we’ve made.
