Joe Garcia Issues Statement on Dallas Shooting of Police Officers

Miami, FL— Former Congressman Joe Garcia issued a statement on the shooting in Dallas, Texas which resulted in the deaths of 5 police officers and wounding of six others:

“My heart breaks for the families and the victims of last night’s shooting. This is a grave reminder of the sacrifices our police officers make to keep our community safe.

Recent tragedies show we need unity—against hate, violence and injustice—among all the members of our communities. We need to work together to ensure all people are safe from gun violence.”
