“Isolated Island – The Key West COVID-19 Spring of 2020” Photo-book Available for Pick-up on December 1 at Key West Garden Club

Producers of “Isolated Island – The Key West COVID-19 Spring of 2020,” have announced that the much anticipated commemorative photo-books will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, December 1, at Fort West Martello, home of the Key West Garden Club, 1100 Atlantic Blvd., from 3:00-6:00pm. Curbside pickup will be available.

Brain-child of Roberta DePiero, and produced by DePiero, Carol Tedesco, and Eric Grahl as a fundraiser to benefit Sister Season Fund, Inc., “Isolated Island,” features 352 pages of images shot by more than 25 area photographers during the COVID-19 Spring, defined as running from March 1, when Florida’s first COVID-19 cases were announced, to June 1, the day after the months-long upper Keys checkpoint was dismantled.

Contributing photographers are Liz Acar, Peter Arnow, Susan Bailey, Michael Blades, Lynne Bentley-Kemp, Joe and Ozlem Berg, Larry Blackburn, Kyle Campbell, Jeffrey Cardenas, Alyson Crean, Roberta DePiero, Ralph DePalma, Heather D. Dow, Todd Andrew Feit, Tony Gregory, C.J. Groth, Jay W. Hall, Mark Hedden, Martha Hubbard, Bill Klipp, Linda Klipp, Corey Malcom, Andy Newman, Rob O’Neal, Steve Panariello, Carol Tedesco, and Sharon Wells, with foreword by Rosi Ware, text editing by Kathy Russ and graphic design by Eric Grahl / EGAD, inc.

Nearly 800 of the individually numbered, limited edition run of 1000 copies, which feature an array of compelling images—from the beauty of Key West sunsets to the tragedy of long food distribution lines—have been pre-sold. Any not pre-sold by December 1 will be available for public purchase at $74.99 each. Book sales, after the cost of printing, are projected to raise a minimum of $35,000 for Sister Season Fund, Inc., whose mission is to prevent homelessness and provide assistance for Key West tourist industry workers—a mission that is especially crucial now due to the impact of COVID-19.

“Isolated Island” printing costs were partially covered with a $1000.00 Awesome Foundation Key West grant along with private and public donations. Those interested in pre-ordering and/or making a donation to Sister Season Fund, Inc., can do so at www.keywestauthors.com.
