I Love Stock Island Festival starts today!
The I Love Stock Island Festival starts Friday, December 13 with Food Truck Finds, the ticketed whirlwind culinary tour, Taste of Stock Island and the 3rd Annual Stock Island Lighted Boat Parade presented by Sunset Watersports at Stock Island Marina Village. There’s also happy hours at the Perry Hotel’s food and beverage outlets and an after parade party at Hogfish Bar. On Saturday, December 14, Discover Stock Island free tours, Holiday Market, Cuban Pig Roast Competition and Mojito Salsa band takes place from 10 am to 4 pm at the new event lawn at Stock Island Marina Village. Also on Saturday, Kayak Kings is offering $10 mini tours, historic sailing vessel When & If $35 sails and a brunch with Santa is at Stock Island Yacht Club from 11 am to 2 pm. From 11 am to 4 pm, the regular second Saturday Arts Stroll showcases seven artist enclaves with more than 30 makers. Saturday evening at 6 pm, Ocean’s Edge Marina has a free ‘dive-in’ moving showing The Grinch and from 7 pm to 10 pm the Smugglers Party at the Art Shack, 6404 Front Street offers a whiskey tasting and live music. On Sunday, December 15, brunch is offered at various locations including Roostica and Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen, a history tour by Up the Keys Tours is at 11 am and 12:30 pm departing from the Salty Oyster, $35 sails from When & If leave from Stock Island Marina, Christmas at the Animal Farm is from 1 pm to 3 pm and behind the scenes Studio Tours take place from 11 am to 4 pm. The old fashioned shrimp boil is at the iconic Hogfish Bar & Grill from 11 am to 5 pm with advance tickets only $20.95 and $26.95 at the door. Finally, the events cap off with Lost Kitchen’s sold-out exclusive dinner with Chef Norman Van Aken Sunday evening.
