Howard University Students Spend Spring Break as Volunteers in the Florida Keys
Washington, D.C. (March 9, 2018) –Instead of participating in the traditional college Spring Break activities of sight-seeing and beach gazing, more than 800 students from Howard University are participating in the annual Howard University Alternative Spring Break program in communities around the world as volunteers.

This year the program will support places that were devastated during the recent hurricane season, including Belle Glade, Fla.; the Florida Keys, Fla.; Beaumont, Texas; Houston; Port Arthur, Texas; New Orleans, La.; St. Thomas, Saint Maarten; Anguilla; Puerto Rico and St. Croix.
