Holiday cheer continues as additional donations roll in
Sheriff Rick Ramsay announced Thursday that the Sheriff’s Office received two additional donations of $1,000 each from residents.
Jeannette Chiari and her husband Bill Horn and Maria Brandvold, all of Marathon, donated money that will be used to help those in need in this holiday season.
They join Marathon City Councilman Steve Cook and the Bentleys of Key West who each donated $4,000 in support of law enforcement and the community.
Deputies will disperse $50 grocery store gift cards to those in need throughout the county on behalf of all who donated.
Sheriff Ramsay was happy to announce the donations continue to snowball.
“We love to see how infectious these donations have become among those who want to be part of something good,” said Sheriff Ramsay. “This is what makes this community so a great place to live, work and play — the community stepping up and helping others.”
