Historic Florida Keys Foundation Preservation Awards applications open

The Historic Florida Keys Foundation is accepting applications for its 43rd annual Preservation Awards
through 12:00 noon, January 12th, 2024. The awards review is limited to the first 12 applicants. A panel
experienced in evaluating historic properties will conduct site visits in February. The criteria for judging
the awards are the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

Awards are given in March for the categories of preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration of
historic properties and for new construction that maintains the integrity of a historic neighborhood. Top
award winners will receive a ceramic star for the property.

Properties throughout Monroe County are eligible, but those previously entered may not participate
unless significant new work has been accomplished.
