Heavy traffic for Upper Keys this weekend

Heavy traffic will be experienced by those traveling through Islamorada this weekend. The heaviest traffic is expected on Plantation Key from 8AM to 6PM on Saturday and Sunday. Traffic should flow well in the early morning hours and in the evening but will be very heavy throughout the day. The heavy traffic may extend well beyond Plantation Key.

The Gigantic Nautical Flea Market at Founders Park (Mile Marker 87) is the largest annual fundraiser for the Upper Keys Rotary Club. Proceeds from the event benefit hundreds of local youth through college scholarships.

Islamorada residents and all Florida Keys travelers are advised to drive carefully, be prepared for traffic to stop, and allow for extra time to reach their destinations. Monroe County Sheriff’s Officers will be on duty to ensure traffic moves as smoothly as possible during the event.
