Robert the Doll dares Key West and Stock Island residents and businesses to compete in “Robert the Doll’s Frightful Façade Contest” KONK Life Editor, October 3, 2024
Hi,
I’m writing an article about D. T. Sweeny of Key West.
In the 1870s and 1880s Sweeny had a saloon, grill, and soda bottle manufacturing business in Key West.
Sweeny raced his yachts for money in Key West and is buried in the Key West Cemetery.
I have pictures of his bottles and working on gathering more information from the Key West Historical Society.
There once was a road between Elizabeth and another named Douglas Sweeny.
Perhaps this story would be interesting to your readers.
