GREAT EGG HUNT AT KWTF & BG APRIL 8TH
Let your little ones get their “fill” of prize-laden plastic eggs at Migration Mania, Saturday, April 8th.
From 10 am to 2pm, the Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden will celebrate Springtime with music, games, crafts, bird and insect interactions, and – of course – the perennial Great Egg Hunt!
Hunting expeditions are scheduled based on age: 3 and younger – 11am; age 4-6 – Noon; age 7-12 – 1pm.
In between, all can choose many ways to celebrate the season. Making bird masks or curling up in a kid-sized “nest”; face painting; getting close to bees (in a safe way!) from Boshaft Farms; meeting Nancy Forresters birds, butterflies from the KW Butterfly Conservatory and a sea turtle from the Turtle Hospital are among anticipated activities that are both fun and educational. The more energetic may need some time in the bounce house! Performance begin at 10 with the charming and talented Steel Your Heart Band from Gerald Adams Elementary School. Those four hours will fly by like a migrating songbird, so do come early to do it all.
