FRINGE Announces ‘PORTRAITS’ PLAY READING

Fringe Theater invites you to a free play reading on Tuesday, May 2 at 7pm at the Little Room Jazz Club, located at 821Duval Street.  The program, entitled Key West Portraits, features the short plays written during this year’s Playwrights in Paradise workshop.

“The class interviewed various people in Key West,” explains the workshop’s facilitator Toby Armour. “Then wrote their plays.  Some of the works represent the actual stories while other plays veer widely from the original interview. Either way, they are interesting works!”

The evening’s plays were written by Faye Bice, Glenda Donovan, Skip Drezner, Alicia Merel, Mia Shaw, and Malcolm Willison.  Readers include Bob Bowersox, Janet Bengel, Frank Anelante, Deb Kik, Don Bartolone, Don Beardon, Annie Miners, Kathy Russ, Paula Cabot, Melody Moore, Diana Heller, Brad and Cathie Gottschalk.

Please note, the setting for this free reading has been moved from St Paul’s Episcopal Church to the Little Room Jazz Club. There is no fee for attending the performance on Tuesday, May 2.  Key West Portraits, original short plays from the playwriting workshop of Toby Armour, is free to the public.  No ticket is required.
