Free Happy Hour Play Reading: “All Over But the Shouting” by Key West Playwright Greg Charleston

Key West Theater presents an exciting new Happy Hour Play Reading in their Back Room performance space on Wednesday, March 7th at 5:30pm. The staged reading will consist of the compelling new play by Key West playwright Greg Charleston called “All Over But the Shouting,” which was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Playwrights Conference this past year. The cast is led by Key West favorites David Black, Mathias Maloff, and Vanessa McCarthy.

About the play: As he prepares to move his aging parents out of their home of 50 years, Harper’s life is spiraling out of control. His husband has walked out. His teen-aged daughter is unable or unwilling to speak. His beloved cat is missing. With humor, sadness, anger, and a growing fear of the unknown, Harper battles his parents and himself for control. He struggles to accept family for who they are, attempts to define responsibility, and discovers that growing older means that some of life’s big events are soon ‘all over but the shouting.’

The “All Over But the Shouting” Happy Hour play reading will be held in the Back Room on March 7th at the Key West Theater at 512 Eaton Street in Old Town. There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited, so reserve your spot today at www.thekeywesttheater.com or by calling (305) 985-0433.
