Free Green Industries-Best Management Practices Workshop
A free Green Industries-Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) Workshop will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Big Pine Key Community Park, 31009 Atlantis Drive, Big Pine Key.
The workshop is designed to provide training for anyone working in the lawn, landscape, pest control or municipal grounds areas. It is being conducted by Kim Gabel, Environmental Horticulture Agent, UF/IFAS/Monroe County Extension Services.
Florida Statute §482.1562 requires all commercial fertilizer applicators to have a license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).
The GI-BMP program has approval for FDACS two CORE and two additional CEUs in the following licenses: Private Applicator – Agriculture, Ornamental & Turf, Limited Lawn & Ornamental, Limited Landscape Maintenance, and Commercial Lawn & Ornamental.
