Free Electronic and Hazardous Waste Drop Off Day

The City of Key West and Waste Management want to remind the community that Saturday is the monthly free hazardous waste and e-waste drop off for Key West residents. Everything from old paint to pesticides can be dropped off free of charge at Indigenous Park on Saturday, October 1st from 8 a.m. until noon.

Drop offs are limited to residents only. No commercial waste can be accepted.

This Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Day provides a safe and environmentally sound way to get rid of hard-to-dispose-of items. The items that will be accepted are: paint, stains, preservatives, pesticides, fertilizers, roofing compounds, waste oil (five gallons maximum), resins and solvents, adhesives and caulks, corrosives and acids, cleaning products, and automotive fluids. No gasoline will be accepted. Old electronics can also be dropped off.

These free disposal days are offered monthly on the first Saturday of every month.
